Q: Where are you located?

A: 808 High St., Worthington, Ohio. The building is located just north of downtown Worthington in the Chadwell Insurance Building, which is between Huntington Bank and the Old Worthington Library.

Q: What are your hours?

A: Working with families is an important part of the therapeutic process, so I keep a flexible schedule to help accommodate each family’s needs. Evenings sessions are available as well as some Saturday mornings.

Q: Do you take insurance?

A: No. Insurance companies dictate treatment in such a way that it often hampers my ability to help your child and/or family. In these days of computer records, insurance companies also require a bevy of documents that can’t be 100% guaranteed to be secure no matter how tight the security wall on a computer system. My fees are intentionally low to help families better afford sessions.

Q: What are your fees?

A: $100/session. If your family is below the poverty line (varies according to family size), a sliding fee scale is available.

Q: What’s your approach to therapy?

A: I use an integrated method that combines several approaches – mainly narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, structural therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also use mindfulness, and I’m a trained group leader in the Incredible Years parenting program.

Q: What services do you offer for dealing with schools?

A: I have experience advocating for clients with school systems throughout central Ohio. Sometimes schools just need a nudge in the right direction, and sometimes they need an aggressive approach from a professional before they will create needed accommodations for your child. Whichever is needed, I have experience working with school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers, and special education personnel to help create Individual Education Plans when needed, and with developing plans to help your child cope with stress in the school environment even when an IEP isn’t necessary.

Q: What’s your fee for dealing with schools?

A: $100 per meeting, the same cost as a session. Phone calls with schools are billed at $75/hour.
